NNS: Busch Takes Title, Wins Race

Kyle Busch punctuated a record season with a victory in Saturdays season-ending Ford 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, as he held off Carl Edwards to score his ninth victory of the season and 20th in NASCARs top three divisions.
Edwards gave Busch a battle at the end, but Busch was able to put his No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota into victory lane, ahead of the Roush Fenway Racing Ford of Edwards. Jeff Burton was third in a Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet.
Busch officially became the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion when the green flag flew to start Saturdays race. Busch has had a remarkable season, finishing first or second in 20 of 35 races and setting NASCAR records for most points and most laps led in the series.
